This Sunday morning, the Santos was defeated by the Railway 1–0 for the 3rd round of the Brazilian Women's Championship. In the middle of Vila Belmiro, the Grenas Warriors won with Sochor's goal in the second half.
This was the first defeat of the Village Mermaids in Brasileirão, which add four points in the tournament after three rounds played. The Santista team did not make a good game against the Railway, but even hit the beam in the first stage after Christiane's head.
The grená club threatened the opposing goal much more and, if not for the good defenses of goalkeeper Camila Rodrigues, the Santos I would have lost to an even greater disadvantage. At 35 minutes of the second half, Sochor was opportunistic, took advantage of the rebound inside the area and sent it to the nets.
With the result, the Railway reaches 100% in the Brazilian Championship with three wins in three games and assumes provisional leadership. The Village Mermaids may lose their sixth position during the round.
