The former player Robinho was arrested on night Thursday (21), in Santos. The arrest was made by the Federal Police after the Superior Court denied the habeas corpus requested by the defense of the former player. The arrest warrant was issued by the Federal Court of Santos.
According to "g1, Robinho went through custody hearing and was referred to Tremembé Prison. The arrest takes place one day after the STJ approves the conviction that the former striker received in Italy. Justice in the European country sentenced the former athlete to nine years in jail.
obinho was convicted of collective rape of a young Albanian girl in a club in Milan in 2013. As Brazil does not extradite born citizens for serving sentences in other countries, the Italian Justice requested that the former striker receive the sentence here.
