O Corinthians started his tactical preparation for the next confrontation in the brazilian championship, aiming the classic against the Sao Paulo. On Thursday (13), at the Joaquim Grava Training Center, the team performed their first complete training with total focus on the rival.
The journey began with the cast watching a video analysis prepared by the technical commission. This detailed analysis aimed to identify the opponent's strengths and weaknesses, as well as adjusting Timão's strategy for the game. After this session, the players went to the gym for muscle activation.
Then the cast participated in a tactical activity of positioning in the field. This training was crucial to align the team in terms of strategy and organization within the field. Players who played for more than 45 minutes in the last match, a 2 to 2 draw against Atlético-GO, returned to the inside of the CT to perform a regenerative work. These athletes needed physical recovery due to the wear of the previous game. Meanwhile, the other players remained in the field, participating in exercises in a reduced space, which required greater intensity and agility.
The coach António Oliveira commanded the training with the presence of all the holders, except Gustavo Henrique, who was expelled still in the first half of the last game and therefore stayed out of the field activities on Wednesday. This was the first training with maximum strength aiming the classic, known as "Majestoso", which will be played on Sunday (16), at 16h, at Neo Química Arena, valid for the ninth round of Brasileirão.
In addition to tactical training, the technical committee has focused on maintaining the morale and motivation of the team, which has not won for four rounds and is close to the lowering zone, occupying the 16th position with six points. O Crisis, 17th placed, is only one point behind and still has a game to play in the eighth round, increasing pressure on Timão to achieve a positive result.
Training will continue on Friday and Saturday mornings at CT Joaquim Grava. António Oliveira and his technical committee have two more sessions to adjust the latest details and ensure that the team is in their best shape to face the Sao Paulo. Expectation is high, as a victory in the classic would not only bring three valuable points, but would also raise the morale of the team and the fans.
The players Igor Coronado and Rodrigo Garro, two of the main names of the cast, participated actively in the trainings of Thursday, showing commitment and total focus on the classic. The presence of these players is seen as fundamental to the aspirations of Corinthians in confrontation.
In short, the Corinthians is focused and determined to change his luck in the Brazilian Championship. The next workouts will be decisive to adjust the team and prepare it for one of the most important games of the season. The crowd expects a strong performance and victory that can mark the start of a new phase for Timon in the championship.
