The attacker Darío Benedetto, currently in Mouth Juniors from Argentina, is determined to seek new challenges in his career, according to information from the portal El Crack Deportivo. Offered to Corinthians in May, the player should not continue in Argentine football and already expressed his desire to change club.
At the age of 34, Benedetto plans to submit a formal request for transfer to Mouth Juniors. His preference seems to be a move to Qatar's football, although Mexico clubs have also shown interest in the experienced centroavante. The news comes out after Benedetto lost two decisive penalties against the Corinthians in the 2022 Liberators, an episode that marked his recent passage by the Argentine club.
In May, when Benedetto was offered to Timon, President Augusto Melo decided not to advance the negotiations. The justification for the decision was the current composition of the Corinthian cast, which already has two area attackers: Yuri Alberto and Pedro Raul. The Board of Corinthians believes that the team is already well served in position and chose not to perform the hiring.
Despite Benedetto's initial interest in acting by Corinthians, the fate of the player seems to be traced away from São Jorge Park. The outcome of the "new" involving the attacker and Timão demonstrates the strategy of the Corinthian board to maintain confidence in current cast players and avoid unnecessary spending on new hires.
