The President of Athletic, Mario Celso Petraglia, went to social networks to justify the lack of investments in this half-year transfer window. The agent stressed "the club's limitation on investment in football" and that "never did anything crazy" for hiring.
In the past few games, the crowd has been charging the board for reinforcements. So far, however, Hurricane has announced no one and also has no advanced negotiations at least publicly with any player.
In the Facebook publication, Petraglia recalled that the club’s cash flow – which beat record surplus in 2023, with more than R$ 380 million – it was used to pay the parcels of the Tripartite Agreement, Ligga Arena. Athletico already paid R.$ 50 million as a sign last year and R$ 67 million in the second installment last month.
The president also commented that "promised nothing for the centennial" and that promising to be a champion is "an insane act". Petraglia himself, worth remembering, came to say years ago that Athletico would be world champion until this year 2024.

Finally, the manager said again that the club "beated the roof" and that it needs the arrival of the Anonymous Football Society (SAF) to increase investment in football. At the beginning of the year window, Athletico spent almost R$ 80 million in hiring.

They forget we have a way out too, and they just look at the values that enter our box!
In recent months we have paid 17.0 million reais for the promotion of the tripartite agreement! Since the release of the tranches of funding (2012) for the construction of Arena/Copa 2014 CAP had not disbursed any value!
Fortunately we had cash to honor the agreement signal of 50.0 million + the 1st installment of maturity June/2024 worth 67.0 million!
It was a fact that the PMC did not start the sales of the Constructive Potential because of the need for the Decree published only now where it defines all the conditions of the values and the time of sales!
I have my mission awareness accomplished! I wouldn't leave the CAP with to-do and risk losing our Arena because of the lack of payment of the funding values to enable the cash flow and we take the 100% on behalf of the Club!
Now we are calm, each part of the tripartite was responsible for its fraction of 1/3 of the total amount spent on the Arena construction!

Não sou professor de português mas no texto do presidente Petraglia há dois erros de português.
Distorcido (desvirtuado, deformado).
Ele escreveu destorcido ( torceu e deixou de torcer, tipo o joelho, uma perna que torceu e o ortopedista foi lá e destorceu)
Espero que ele não esteja se referindo a nossa torcida pelo Athletico que ele queira fazer “destorcer”, deixar de torcer pelo Furacão jamais !
