Athletico's coach, Martín Varini, minimized the goal at 27 seconds, but turned on the alert for the number of goals suffered. Hurricane won the Belgrano 2–1 and reached 11 goals in 10 games under the command of Uruguayan coach.
" This is our 10th game, and the first time it happens (a goal suffered in the beginning). We are very aware that there is much to work with, that we have to lower the number of goals suffered. We have to work hard," said the post-game press conference.
In the 10 games with Martín Varini, Athletico has six wins, two draws and two losses. Despite the concern with the defense, the technician pointed out positive points:
" We are making a lot of goals and coming very well until the last third. We're filling in the area. Christian's an expert. We have players who cross, the Esquivel is not the first time it does this (assistances)," he said.
"The team feels comfortable, has these characteristics and has to continue to take advantage. About the ball standing, I know that Athletico hasn't had that much effectiveness in the ball standing. It's something you work, you have to make a lot of money," he concluded.
