International, Bahia And Portland Timbers, from the United States, are interested in hiring the 27-year-old Erick steering wheel. The player is connected to the Athletico Paranaense until the end of 2026 and negotiations can take place in the transfer window at the end of 2024, after the end of the Brazilian Championship.
According to website Voices of the Giant, the Inter can submit a proposal of EUR 2 million (around EUR$ 12 million).
The value is much lower than that offered by Corinthians January 2024. At the time, the club tried to take the player for 6 million euros and failed to reach an agreement with Athletico.
Negotiation
Another information is that Athletico has an interest in two players in the InternationalGabriel, 32, and Gabriel Baralhas, 26. The first one is borrowed from Hurricane himself. And the second, to Atlético-GO.
Bahia and MLS
The MLS Territory site reports that Portland Timbers could pay up to US$3 million (about R$17 million) for Erick. The club was the 9th place of the West MLS Conference last season.
Another club that already showed interest Athletico's steering wheel was the Bahia.
History in Athletic
Revealed at the base of Villa Nova, Nova Lima (MG), Erick began to stand out in 2018, by Operário, Ponta Grossa. At the time, the player belonged to the PSTC and was acting by loan. Athletico bought the steering wheel in early 2019 for undisclosed value.
Since then, the player has added 279 games, 22 goals and 12 assists by the Curitiba club. He also won six titles: Copa do Brasil (2019), Copa Sul-Americana (2021) and Paranaense (2019, 2020, 2023 and 2024).

According to the WhoScored ranking, which assigns scores from 0 to 10 to the players in each match, Erick made his best Brasileirão by Athletico Paranaense in 2023, with average score 6.94. The second best participation was in 2020, with 6.82. Now, in 2024, it reaches its third best average score in the history of Series A: 6.79.
