Athletico-PR enters the world top-20 in sales profit

Hurricane is highlighted in the South American continent in ranking of athletes transactions since 2015.

One of the most valuable clubs in Brazil, Athletico-PR has a prominent job in relation to hiring players. This fact is evidenced in a study published on Wednesday (11), by CIES (Football Observatory), in relation to the purchase and sale of players around the world.

Hurricane appears in the 18th ranking of the world among teams with the highest profit in transfers of athletes, with a balance of 125 million euros (about R$ 790 million), since 2015, being the best South American on the list. Lille is the leader, with more than R$ 2.4 billion with negotiations.

CIES mapping considers only players who have been hired by clubs since 2015 and who are no longer in the current cast. The list excludes athletes trained in the base categories.

In addition, the figures quoted include any value received by the teams, including bonus clauses and goals.

For sale of Vitor Roque is featured of Hurricane

The biggest profit in recent years of Athletico-PR fHi to the attacker. The player's sale to the Barcelona yielded EUR 40 million (around R$ 213 million), reaching a total of 74 million euros (around$ 396 million), based on targets.

This transfer positively impacted Hurricane's finances. That's because the team invested R$ 24 million to buy Vitor Roque in 2022, next to Cruise.

That is, the transfer was almost 10 times higher than the amount paid to Fox, boosting the profit of the Paraná club.

In addition to Vitor Roque, Hurricane has recorded other important sales in the last decade, showing a good job of the club in the ball market:

  • Bruno Guimarães for Lyon – R$ 115 million
  • Benedict for Al Nassr – R$ 107 million
  • Renan Lodi for the Atlético de Madrid – R$ 87.5 million
  • Robson Bamboo for Nice – R$ 47 million
