Athletico announces Rodrigo Possebon as new director of football

O Athletico Paranaense announced on the night of Friday (13), that Rodrigo Possebon will be the new team football director.

Possebon served as Director of Athletic Training Categories since July this year. Before his career as a football executive, Possebon acted as a steering wheel in clubs like the Manchester United, International and Santos.

The executive career began with the position of professional football manager in Railway (SP) and before accepting the invitation of Athletico, Possebon still occupied the role of base executive director of Barra FC (SC).

Athletico's new football director specializes in sports administration, management, marketing and law, with graduations in institutions such as Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Cruyff Institute, Universidade do Futebol and Federação Paulista de Futebol.

Possebon's announcement is Athletico's first for the football department in 2025, the year the club will first compete in 13 years.

After the resignations of Lucho González, Paulo Autuori and Paulo Miranda the expectation is that in the coming days the Athletico announce new names that will compose the new football department of the team.
