Athletico sought the 28-year-old Raul steering wheel to reinforce the cast in the 2025 season. Hurricane formalized the proposal to count on the player, who did not have the contract renewed with Bragantino after the Brazilian Championship.
Raul said goodbye on Tuesday from Bragantino, where he made 133 games and scored three goals. It was at the country club of Sao Paulo that the steering wheel worked with Mauricio Barbieri, announced as new Athletico technician for 2025. This way, they can go back to working together now in Hurricane.
Athletico, however, is not the only player in the race. Raul has two more proposals in hand. The decision should take place by the end of this week, as with the adjustment of the calendar, many clubs anticipated the return to activities before the turn of the year.
Raul was for some seasons an important piece of Bragantino field, but he had to move away for long periods because of knee surgeries, situations that prevented him from continuing. This year, even, he was mostly an option in the reserve bank.
The main cast returns to work on December 26, in the C.T. of Cashew. Initially, the resubmission of the group was scheduled for January 8. The premiere in the Paranaense Championship will be on January 14, against the Paraná Club.
