The steering wheel Fernandinho, considered idol of Athletico-PRHe said goodbye to the club on Wednesday afternoon. The veteran valued the welcome he received on his arrival more than two years ago, but said it is time to breathe new air.
Fernandinho's contract was valid until the end of last season and was not renewed by the board. The Hurricane must undergo a recast in the cast due to the fall to the Series B ed Brazilian Championship.
After much success in European football, Fernandinho returned to Athletico in mid 2022. From there to here, the 39-year-old steering wheel competed 117 games, with 13 goals scored and 15 assistance, according to the Sofascore. In the period, the athlete won two Paranaense Championships (2023 and 2024) and took the vice of the CONMEBOL Liberators (2022).
Fernandinho hasn't given us any clues about his future yet. Revealed in the base categories of Hurricane, the athlete adds victorious seasons by Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester City, his last club before returning to Brazil.
