The quarterback Kaique Rocha, do Athletic, was the most minute field player in the 2024 season, considering the 20 major leagues in the world. The survey was carried out by SofaScore, sports statistics platform.
Kaique Rocha played for 5,144 minutes in 61 games with the red-black shirt. The quarterback was only out of 12 games of the centennial season, three of them in the last rounds of the Brazilian Championship against Sao Paulo, Red Bull Bragantino and Atlético-MG.
Despite having the confidence of the coaches who went through Hurricane in 2024, the quarterback received a lot of cheering criticism for the failures he had in the field.

Kaique Rocha is out of Athletic's 2025 plans
After the relegation to the B Series, Athletico decided to recast most of the cast for the 2025 season. Kaique Rocha, who has a contract by the end of 2026, has already been informed by the board that it is not part of the plans.
Kaique Rocha was released from the preseason at the Caju CT, and awaits a new position of the board to define the future. The quarterback can be traded, borrowed or terminated immediately with the club.
Another quarterback who stayed out of the preseason was experienced Thiago Heleno, considered one of Athletic's cast leaders in recent years. The "General" did not accept the wage readjustment and goes back to talk to the board on Thursday (9).
Currently, the red-black cast has only three names: Lucas Belezi and Mateo Gamarra, remaining from last season, and Leo Pelé, hired by the Vasco.
