Current champion, the Athletic enters the 2025 Paranaense Championship pressed and has the first step in search of a retake. After the relegation to the Brazilian Championship Series B, Hurricane made a reformulation and even changed the schedule to enter the state with maximum force.
Rubro-Negro hired coach Mauricio Barbieri and started preseason on December 26, with the main cast working. The Paranaense 2025 will repeat the formula of the last years, with a single shift in the first phase and kill-kill then. The finals are scheduled for March 19 and 26.
