The attack of Athletico Paranaense He won another backup for the 2025 season. The Centre Alan Kardec signed with the club by the end of the year and brings more experience and offensive power to the Hurricane front line. He'll wear the red-black shirt number 27.
Alan Kardec is 36 years old and has the experience of a successful career in big clubs in Brazil and abroad.
" The choice for Athletico was very easy to make, for the history of the club, its grandeur and structure. He was thinking of having a place of excellence so he could work. I want to be ready as soon as possible," he says.
Successful career
Revealed in basic categories of Vasco da Gama, Alan Kardec defended the Rio club in three seasons as a professional. After a brief period in International, transferred to the Benfica, from Portugal in 2009.

In 2016, he made his way to China, where he played for six seasons. In 2022, he returned to Brazilian football, this time for the Atlético Mineiro, club where he was until last year.
"This experience can help, no doubt. When we talk about a year of resumption, we have to say that we have a great team that is not where it deserves it. We need to know where we are, the team we represent, the story he has. We know that a club of this magnitude will charge us, but it will return in the same currency," he says.
Hurricane's proposal
Alan Kardec says he had no doubt in accepting the challenge of defending Hurricane, even with proposals from other Brazilian teams.
" This recognition of wearing Athletico's shirt and being part of that story is very important. My decision was based on that. I had other possibilities, but when you listen to Athletico's name, think as an institution, it ends up having a greater weight on the scale," he says.
Objectives in 2025
With the red-black shirt, the attacker hopes to relive the best moments of his trajectory. This means scoring goals, winning titles and helping Hurricane in his fight to return to the national football elite.
"We have to live our daily lives according to the challenges that are approaching. Today we have the state championship, which is very important. Every time you're a team champion, that's marked. And we know our responsibility in the season, which is to put Athletico back where he belongs. We have to think of titles. And I as a center forward always think about making goals," he points out.
Expectation for premiere
Alan Kardec hopes to be ready as soon as possible to debut for Hurricane and show his football before the athletic fans.
"Every time I've come to play here, I've found a huge difficulty. A passionate crowd who is always filling the stadium and encouraging. And a wonderful Arena, an incredible stadium. Using all this to your advantage is very important and the expectation is of a premiere as soon as possible. Being one of the most experienced is a responsibility, but that I am prepared to take over. My head is quiet, just thinking about doing my best," he says.
