Before boarding for Belo Horizonte, the player used social networks to say goodbye to Hurricane and thank the fans for their support throughout their career at the club.
In his message, Cuello stressed the importance of the period in Curitiba for his professional and personal evolution. The Argentinean highlighted the good memories he brings from the club and the affection received from the red-black fans. Now he focuses on the next challenge, ready to defend Rooster's colors in the sequel to the season.
What did the player say?
"Hurricane, it's time to say goodbye. I especially want to thank the club, my comrades and everyone who works with the professional team. Thanking the cheers that I support and gave me their affection in these years", said Cuello.
"I never stopped working to be able to represent this great club. I have great memories and I'm grateful because I grew up here as a professional and as a person. Thank you all, I'll always take it in my heart", finished.
Cuello in the Hurricane
For Athletico, Tomás Cuello accumulated a total of 10 goals and 24 assists over 164 games. He started the season as a key player in the Hurricane team, but ended up leaving the main formation in the second round of the Paranaense Championship.
The motive? An ongoing negotiation with a mining club, which eventually influenced his momentary departure from the team.
This movement in the market generated expectations about their future, while the player waited for the developments of the possible transfer.
