The negotiation between River Plate And Athletico-PR by Lucas Esquivel is stuck. Despite the closing of the transfer window in Argentina, the club commanded by Marcelo Gallardo follows in the dispute for the left-side, taking advantage of the rule that allows the replacement of players sold abroad until March 12. Recently, the Argentines negotiated Pablo Solari with Russian football and Agustín Sant’anna with Bragantino, extending their term for international contracts.
Athletico- PR imposes strict conditions
The biggest obstacle to negotiation is in financial terms. Mário Celso Petraglia, president of Hurricane, changed the initial conditions and now demands payment in view of US$ 5 million for 80% of Esquivel's economic rights. O River Plate, in turn, tries to relax the terms and included midfielder Tomás Galván as part of the offer. However, the board of the Paraná club is inflexible and insists on receiving only money for the transfer.
Destination of Tomas Galván defined

Outside Gallardo's plans after a loan to Tiger, Tomás Galván was training separately on the River while seeking a new team. With Hurricane ruling out his inclusion in the business, the player ended up settling his loan to Vélez Sarsfield.
Now, Gallardo faces a crucial decision: accept the requirement of Athletico-PR and pay full value or close the treaties and seek a new option to strengthen the sector, which currently counts with Marcos Acuña.
