The athletes Mycael, Felipinho and Fernando received suspensions of 10 matches each, while Isaac was punished with eight games. Club is fined and managers involved

Athletico was also subject to financial sanctions. The club was fined in R$ 10 thousand due to the invasion of the camp of the leaders Rodrigo Possebon and Eder Chibior, who contested the arbitration after the expulsion of Léo Pelé in the interval of the departure. However, the team was exempt from punishment for the use of flags in the visiting stands of the stadium Couto Pereira, despite the divergence between prosecutors Rubens Dobranski and Vincyos Chudzy.

Grounds for punishment for players

The four suspended athletes were framed in articles of the Brazilian Sports Justice Code (CBJD):

  • Mycael, Felipinho and Fernando: Penalized for physical aggression during the match (Art. 254-A) and involvement in turmoil (Art. 257).
  • Isaac: En square in the same articles, but with reduced penalty for eight games.
  • Matheus Soares: Accused of participating in the riot (Art. 257), but acquitted.
  • Bruno Zapelli: Initially denounced by disloyal or hostile act (Art. 250), but also acquitted.

Summary of penalties

  • Fine to the club: R$ Ten grand for the leaders' field invasion.
  • Suspended players: Mycael, Felipinho and Fernando (10 games); Isaac (8 games).
  • Absolved: Bruno Zapelli and Matheus Soares.

With these decisions, Athletico will need to deal with important embezzlements for the rest of the state competition, which can directly impact his performance in the search for the title.
