The maximum peak of Casimiro, which rivals Globoplay online, was 4.3 million on YouTube during the first half. At Twitch there were a maximum of 300,000 viewers at the same time. In other words, Casimiro managed to reach 4.6 million total on both screens.

The Champions League had hit 4.4 million total users during its 90 minutes two years ago. Casimiro stirred the audience to overcome the numbers by making calls on live and comment on the subject on Twitter.

"4.2 million! Come to the record, come!" he said. The result also raised Casimiro's numbers from the first game to 600,000 viewers on YouTube alone. In Brazil 2 x 0 Serbia, it reached 3.7 million and had already hit the maximum achieved by a live broadcast on Google's platform.

The influencer partnered with FIFA to showcase 22 World Cup games on YouTube and Twitch. The deal was brokered by Livemode, run by Edgar Diniz, former owner of Interactive Sport.

Rival da Globo on the web

In Brazil, Casimiro joined Globo, SporTV and Globoplay in the World Cup broadcasts. In renegotiation of its contract with the maximum football entity last year, Globo gave up the exclusive digital rights of the largest sporting event on the planet, so the agreement became possible.

Through the partnership, Fifa and LiveMode wanted to offer an alternative to traditional broadcasts by using Casimiro's popularity for this. It is the first time in history that the World Cup has played games broadcast by a streamer in Brazil.
