The next edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will be in Morocco. The decision was ratified at the meeting of the Council of the entity, held on Friday (16) in Doha. The tournament will be held between February 1 and 11.
The format of the dispute will be maintained, with seven participants (six continental champions and the representative of the host country), with clubs from South America and Europe entering the semifinal phase.
They're already secured in the dispute. Flamengo, Real MadridSeattle Sounders, Auckland City, Wydad Casablanca and Al Ahly. The representative of Asia has not yet been defined.
Morocco was once the headquarters of the World Cup in 2013 and 2014. The Moroccan team, sensation of the Cup, will play 3rd place of the tournament this Saturday, against Croatia, at Khalifa Stadium.
