O Athletico Paranaense He signed up for another player in the Paranaense Championship. This time, the novelty is defender Luan Patrick, 22 years old. Now, the list of team members in the competition has 47 names.
Luan Patrick began 2024 out of Athletic's plans. The idea was to lend the player to America-MG, as part of the payment for the purchase of the Mastriani centeravante. That's not what happened. The club also received other loan offers from the quarterback, but there was no deal.
In early 2024, Luan Patrick was summoned by coach Ramon Menezes to defend the Brazilian sub-23 team in the Pre-Olympic Tournament, along with goalkeeper Mycael. The quarterback played two matches. The competition ended on February 11 and so far, coach Juan Carlos Osorio did not use players who played in the Pre-Olympic, one of them is the defender/lateral Esquivel, who played for Argentina.
Osorio must observe Luan Patrick in the Sunday game at 16:00, against São Joseense, in the Arena da Baixada, for the 11th (and last) round of the first phase of the Paranaense Championship.
The debut in this match may be from the right-hand Leo Godoy, who suffered injury and is now recovered.
LUAN PATRICK
Luan Patrick was born in Coqueiros do Sul (RS) and began at futsal. Then it went through the basic categories of International, Youth and Figueirense. He arrived at Athletico in September 2018. To this day amounts 25 matches as a professional by the club Paraná. In 2019, he was the champion of the Under-17 World Championship with the starting team, playing the title in all the matches of the winning campaign.
In 2022, the quarterback defended America-MG, by loan, acting in 12 matches. In 2023, it was borrowed for the Red Bull Bragantino – 26 matches in total of the season.
ASSESSMENT
With the end of the first phase of Paranaense, next Sunday, coach Juan Carlos Osorio will reduce the main working group to a maximum of 30 players. Of the 47 names registered in Paranaense, those not used by the coach will be traded to other teams.
