Official: Cuca is the new Athletico-PR technician

Recently, the Coach "resolved" his particular problems and claimed he now wants to return to the field and work on a "winner" project.

And it was just Athletico who opened the doors for the coach.

Internal considerations

The board is already discussing internally how the Cuca announcement will be made. Coach's personal advisor has been talking to the club to get the details straight.

Cuca's name was not unanimous and the club considered making an appointment with coach Mano Menezes, who is currently travelling outside Brazil.

WARNING: Cuca is the new technician of Athletico. Agreement between the parties has already been made. Now, there are little details to be solved as a composition of the technical committee. Controversial past and protests

Some of the fans and various feminist groups have shown disapproval of Cuca's hiring because of his conviction in Switzerland for the rape of a minor in 1989.

The last club in Cuca was the Corinthians, where hiring caused many protests, reaching the point of pressing the coach's exit just a week after his hiring.

The new coach of Athletico will have as challenge the quarterfinals of the Paranaense Championship, the Brazilian Cup, the Brazilian Championship and the South American Cup.

Adding to its responsibility, the club is 100 years old on March 26, adding pressure for a celebration at such an important time for the club's history.
