Even with the team in the delegating zone of the Brazilian Championship, Oliveira considers it essential that the cast rest and spend more time with family and friends before returning to training. The technical committee has not yet confirmed the date of resubmission.
According to Oliveira, physical and emotional wear due to the decisive matches of the Brazilian Cup, the South American Cup and the pressure for results in Brasileirão justify the pause. "I won't concentrate, I'll release it. With this marathon games, there's very little room left. What gives us stability is the family; we have to enjoy it and then come back fresh," said the coach.
O Corinthians, currently in the 17th position of Brasileirão with only five points, returns to the field on June 11 against Atlético-GO. Until then, the expectation is that the cast will return more motivated and prepared to leave the lowering zone and improve performance in the competitions.
