On the afternoon of Tuesday, the Brazilian Confederation of Football (CBF) officialized the stadium Orlando Scarpelli, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, as the stage of confrontation between Corinthians and International for the tenth round of the Brazilian Championship. The departure is scheduled for June 19th, Wednesday, at 9:30 p.m.
The change of location, originally planned to be in Port Joyful, it is due to the floods that hit the capital, making it impossible to play games in the local stadiums. The Figueirense had already offered Orlando Scarpelli as an alternative in May, and the offer was now accepted.
This will be the return of Corinthians Orlando Scarpelli after just over seven years. Timão's last match in the stadium was a 1–1 draw against Figueirense, by Brasileirão 2016. The history of Corinthians at Orlando Scarpelli has four wins, six draws and three losses, totaling 15 goals scored and 14 suffered.
Before the confrontation with the International, Corinthians will still face the São Paulo next Sunday and the Atlético-GO on the night of Tuesday. The match against Atlético-GO, scheduled for 19h at Antônio Accioly Stadium, is crucial for the team commanded by António Oliveira, who seeks to leave the delegating zone. Currently, the Corinthians occupies the 17th position in the table, with five points.
