On Wednesday (26), the Federal Police was in São Jorge Park to investigate the legal department of Corinthians regarding the hiring of the Security Company Workserv Outsourced Services. The visit occurred due to suspicions about the regularity of the company contracted to provide services to the club.
Workserv Outsourced Services does not have the appropriate Cnae (National Classification of Economic Activities) in the Commercial Board, nor the necessary authorization of the Federal Police to act in the security area. This situation could result in the prohibition of any area where the company was operating.
At the beginning of June, Gazeta Esportiva reported that Workserv was operating on the premises of Parque São Jorge and Neo Química Arena, even without due authorization. However, after the visit of the Federal Police, the club reported that no irregularities were found.
In official note, the Sport Club Corinthians Paulista clarified that the Federal Police was at the club's headquarters to investigate information about a service provider, and that no abnormality was found. The club also stated that the company provides only escort and non-patrimonial security services, as previously reported. Thus, Workserv does not remain allocated either in São Jorge Park or in Neo Química Arena.
